This 3-day workshop
for the experienced watercolour painter will draw upon maritime subject
matter from abundant natural vistas and architectural vignettes on location
in and around Lunenburg, focusing specifically on boats, seascape, waterfront
scenes, etc. In the event of inclement weather, indoor painting will
employ photographs of the same variety of inspiring subjects.

Notes:
Maximum enrolment 10 people. Camera recommended. Pack all-weather gear
(hat for sun, jacket for cool sea breeze, etc.) Ask about box easels
for loan.

varied catalog of work reveals his interest and skill in conveying depth
and perspective in his paintings. As a Lunenburg artist, the Maritime
subjects which make up the majority of his material reveal a passionate
interest in interpreting the light, colour and design of the local environment.
A graduate of the School of Applied Printing and Graphic Design in Utrecht,
the Netherlands, and art instructor at Nova Scotia College of Art and
Design and various community centers, Frans’ teaching emphasizes
drawing and painting technique as well as the development of sharp observational
skills.
